The St. George Singers

St. George Singers
St. George's offers children and youth a multi-faceted opportunity to pursue musical education and Christian formation by joining the St. George Singers. Children and youth in 3rd through 12th grade are welcome. No prior musical experience needed. Families of all faith backgrounds are welcome. Even if your family does not attend church at all, your child can still be a part of the St. George Singers.
The St. George Singers sing weekly at the 10:30 a.m. Choral Eucharist along with the adult Choir.
Rehearsals are on Monday afternoons at 4:15 - 5:30 p.m.
Benefits of singing in a choir include:
- Sing the world’s greatest music from across the globe.
- Learn to play an important role in the leadership of the liturgy.
- Learn to read music.
- Make new friends and be a part of a team that works and plays hard.
- Internalize biblical and poetic texts that reinforce Christian faith.
- Practice and learn the ability to concentrate.
- Build a capacity for commitment and responsibility, qualities of mature adulthood.
Each rehearsal will include a combination of small group and full-choir activities.
Time will also be planned for "just fun" with a healthy snack, conversation, and physical activity.
For a "musical interview," or for further information, please contact

The Angel Choir

Angel Choir
For our younger children, we are starting the Angel Choir, led by Leighann Narum. All children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are welcome to be a part of this group - no previous musical experience is necessary.
The Angel Choir will learn fundamental musical concepts and learn to follow the liturgy, so that when they are 3rd graders, they may be full members of the St. George Singers. They will participate in the second Sunday Family Eucharist at 9:15 a.m. on an "as ready basis."
Regular rehearsals of the Angel Choir begin Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 10:00-10:15 a.m., just prior to Children's Chapel. Rehearsals will be weekly and will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Resource Center.
