Second Sunday Family Eucharists

On the second Sunday of each month, St. George's celebrates a lively Family Eucharist for children at 9:15 a.m. The music, readings and homily are all child-friendly. Sermon topics vary from faith lessons in daily life to explaining aspects of the service and what they mean.

Musical accompaniment is provided by a variety of musicians from the congregation – parents and children! – as well as Father Poppe on guitar. We hold regular rehearsals and encourage anyone interested in playing to join us. Perfection is not required!

Family Eucharists are followed by a festive "Cocoa Hour" downstairs in the Parish Hall, and sometimes a seasonal craft project. Parents and children value this time to get to know each other and play.

All children are welcome, regardless of church membership. There is no Children's Chapel or Sunday School on second Sundays.
