The Algonquin Indians named the June full moon “Strawberry” and used its arrival as a signal to pick the ripened berries – and the name stuck! When the Strawberry Moon arrives on Sunday, June 23, St. George’s will observe it with a pot-luck dinner and Labyrinth walk for children and adults.
